I'm a 34 year old female, I need all the advice I can get about Army Basic Training. Remember I am 34.?

I just recently passed the asvab and the physical. My next step is to get ready to go to basic. I am so nervous about this whole basic training thing. If someone has recently been through this, please give me some advice on how to prepare for it and get through it.I'm a 34 year old female, I need all the advice I can get about Army Basic Training. You will be fine. Like Doc to the Corps said, if you are in good shape then you are good to go and if not then just exercise. When I went through I had a 42 yr old woman and she could out run me! Just have the will! Go for it!I'm a 34 year old female, I need all the advice I can get about Army Basic Training. Remember I am 34.?
the main physical parts are going to be push ups, situps, and running and if you have problems with those now dont worry at all because the drill sergants will get you fit, mentally just keep a positive attitude and it wont get to you, you get out of it what you put into it, nervous is good i was pretty nervous you will b fine use yer knowledge to be a leader, have fun after completion you will be so proud of yourself so take care and thank you for serving. p.s. drill sergants are humans........i think
Well congrats on joining up at 34. We dont know what kind of shape you are in as of right now but if you are in decent shape you will be ok, if you are in great shape you will do fine, if you are out of shape you need to start now to get ready. Push ups, sit ups, and run before you go. I think beingolder helps you cause you will be more focused and can take direction more than some 18 yr old kid. Good Luck
can i just say congratulations for making the choice at 34. So good to see people who are not just 18 and 19 signing up for the army and the other services.

Im 29 and am going through the process at the moment.

It's good to be nervous, be prepared for a whole change of lifestyle.
