Long question. I need female advice.?

Ok, I've asked bits and pieces of my problem on yahoo answers. I still don't have it resolved. This is a long question.





Ok, so theres this girl (I'll call her Jane). And I've known her for about a year. I like Jane. But had no clue if she liked me.





On the last day of school, we were all hanging out in the hallway at the last part of the day. I was just kinda standing ther by myself, and this girl (I'll call her Samantha) Walked up and said ';Hug?'; and I said ';Sure';. (We've been friends for a long time). So we hugged. Then Samantha and I kinda sepperated and walked off. Then I looked up and saw Jane (she had some stuff in her hands). And we made eye contanct. And I smiled. Then She smiled. Once we passed each other,





Jane said ';Well fine then!';





And I said ';What?';





And she said ';I see how it is!';





And I said ';What? About the...';.





And she said ';Yes the...'; (At that point we had a quick little hug) Then she walked off.





Ok... I was so happy when that went down. I was just standing there, I was like.. whao..... So after that, I went down to the gym to shoot some baskets. And she was stuck on my mind. I couldn't quit thinking about her.





Then I went home, and texted her saying, Hey. And we talked and some how we got on this conversaition. (This is word for word, and it gets confusing)





Jane: Your so mean.





Me: What did I do?





Jane: You wouldn't hug me.





Me: I'm sorry. When I walked by you looked like you had alot of stuff in your hands and I didn't want to you to have to put it down.





Jane: You still could've hugged me.





Me: I'm sorry, if you wanted one that bad you could've asked.





Jane: You looked like you didn't want to hugg me.





Me: Yeah, like I ';don't'; want to hugg you.





Jane: I know you didn't.





Me: How would you know that?





Jane: Lets just say I have something to tell you, but I don't know if you want to hear it.





Me: Go ahead.





Jane: I don't know how.





(We went back and forth, and I played dumb)





Jane: Just guess.





Me: Why can't you just tell me?





Jane: I don't know how.





Me: Then call me, it doesn't matter.





Jane: No, that would be worse.





Me: Then tell me.





Jane: I like you.





Me: Oh, wow thats awesome.





So we talked and the got off subject before I could say it back. So I brought it back up later, and said I like you too. And it got confession'ey. Pretty cool actually.








So I wanted to ask her out in person, and with school being out and what not, I couldn't. So me and some other friends put together a (small) pool ';get togther';. We invited the girl so I could ask her out.








I talked to her, the week before we went, about going, She said that she could go. Well, she cancled on me(us) the night before. And she was apologetic, saying ';I'm so sorry, I just can't go';. So I (being Mr. Kool) said ';Oh, thats cool, maybe some other time';.





We normally text each other alot. She would text me first every time. And it was late at night one night and I said ';So what you doing'; and she would say ';Getting ready to go to bed'; and I said ';I'll let you go then';. And she said ';No its cool, we can still talk';. And I was like ';I don't want to bug you'; and she said ';You bug me never';.





My question is...





I haven't heared form her since the day she canceled (1 month ago). I would text her, and normally get a reply instantly. Well, she doesn't reply anymore. I haven't been buging her that much. I would send a ';Hey'; or ';Whats up'; once every other day.





So is she ignoring me or something?





Or do you think shes mad at me?





Or do you think I'm over reacting?Long question. I need female advice.?
Wow. Confusing. I can see why guys really hate girls.


From the perspective of a girl who has no idea what's going on in her life, there's many possibilities.


Narrowing them down...


1. Some kind of problem with her phone or communication (this is assuming you haven't heard from her at all, or seen her)


2. She lost interest in one way or another. Three ways: Found someone else; just stopped liking you (someone told her something, perhaps); thought you lost interest.





I don't think she's mad at you, and if she is, that's just immature.

Girls do that idk why...but its there way of flirting.
That's rough. Honestly as a girl, I'm having problems figuring this chick out. One possibility is that something happened the night before the party, in her family or something, to why she had to cancel, and it was so major that she's been kinda busy/upset/etc. If not, have you tried actually calling her, even if it is to see if the phone is still connected? Facebook? Myspace? Have you tried asking her friends? It's not like you're asking them to ask her out for you. You just wanna know if she's ok, if she's mentioned anything. You have to help yourself. We can't help you. Do some digging. Best of luck.
If i were you i would text her one last time and say something like ';if i did anything wrong can you just tell me instead of ignoring me like you seem to be doing?'; this will either catch her off guard and she'll answer with an explanation of why she hasn't answered or not answer in which case i would hold off on the texts to her for a while...maybe she just needs her space for a little?
